The writing department allows students to discuss engineering and STEM topics through a medium that isn’t commonly associated with engineers! It provides an exciting way to share your knowledge and opinions with the community about the things that are important and interesting to you. I joined the writing department because I wanted to continue developing writing skills in an engineering major where we don’t have many classes focusing on writing, and you will develop so many important written and verbal communication skills through WEM!
