Meet Our Team

Mary Laudon

Editor In Chief

I am a fifth year Biomedical Engineering student, and I have been a part of the magazine since I was a freshman! I started as a Writer before becoming Public Relations Head and then Co-Editor in Chief. I love being a part of the Wisconsin Engineer because of the connections I have made with alumni, students, and faculty in the College of Engineering!

Lucy Steffes

Editor in Chief

I’m a senior double-majoring in Astronomy-Physics and Physics, with certificates in Math, German, and History. I first became involved with the magazine as a freshman, when I realized how much I missed writing with all of the science and math classes I was taking. I then spent a year as a Writing Head before stepping into this role as Co-Editor in Chief this year. I love being a part of the Wisconsin Engineer because of the leadership skills I have gained and the amazing outlet to write and help others improve their writing!

Writing

Sarah Gerovac

Department Head

I am a third-year Electrical Engineering student at UW, and I joined the magazine when I was a freshman. I started as a Writer and began as a Writing Head during the second semester of my freshman year! I’ve really enjoyed being a part of this magazine, and I think that it has helped me with developing skills in places that I normally wouldn’t get the practice as an engineering student! I also enjoy being involved in other areas around campus and am the High Voltage Team Lead of Badgerloop, a solar-powered car competition team, and Alpha Omega Epsilon, a sorority for women in STEM.

Isabelle Egizio

Department Head

My name is Isabelle Egizio, and I am a third-year chemical engineering student.  I have been a Writer for the magazine since my freshman year, and I am excited to be a Writing Head this year!  I love being a part of the magazine because I get to learn about the stories of the students and professors that make up the College of Engineering

Photography

Annie Krillenberger

Department Head

I am a fifth year Computer Engineering and Computer Sciences student, with certificates in German and International Engineering! I have been a part of the magazine since I was a freshman! I started as a Photographer before becoming Head of Photography. I love being a part of the Wisconsin Engineer because it allows me to continue my passion of photography while also learning more about the happenings of the College of Engineering!

Graphic Design

Angel Salas

Department Head

I am a third year Mechanical Engineering Student, and I first became a part of the magazine as a graphic designer, when I was just starting college at UW. I think my favorite part of contributing to the Wisconsin Engineer is how it has become an outlet of creativity as an engineering student, where one is usually surrounded by mathematical problems and engineering content on the daily.

Public Relations

Paige Dollevoet

Department Head

I am a 5th year chemical engineering student, in my last semester! I have been in WEM since my first semester on campus in 2019. I started as a writer, and now am additionally the public relations head! My favorite part about the magazine is getting the opportunity to learn new things while writing pieces, whether that be the subject matter or about my own writing process.

Web

Jaden Sim

Department Head

I am a junior majoring in Civil Engineering. I have been a part of WEM since my freshman year as a graphic designer. I am looking forward to continuing my journey with WEM as a Web head! Being a small student organization, WEM provides an excellent opportunity for members to connect, collaborate, and make meaningful contributions to our engineering magazine’s issues.
